RESUMO

Object: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the risk of secondary immune thrombocytopenia in multiple sclerosis patients treated with alemtuzumab through a meta-analysis. Methods: We searched databases including PubMed, Web of Science, OVID and EMBASE for studies reporting changes in platelet levels in MS patients treated with alemtuzumab from their inception until May 2023 and performed a meta-analysis. Information and data were screened and extracted by two researchers. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were established according to the PICOS principle. The obtained data were analyzed using the R software meta package and the quality assessment was conducted using Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS). The causes of heterogeneity were analyzed using subgroup analysis and sensitivity analysis. Publication bias was evaluated using funnel plots and Egger test. Results: A total of 15 studies were included, encompassing 1,729 multiple sclerosis patients. Meta-analysis of overall secondary ITP in the included studies yielded a pooled rate of 0.0243. The overall incidence of secondary autoimmune events was 0.2589. In addition, subgroup analysis was applied using study regions and study types. The results showed that the incidence rate of secondary ITP in Europe was about 0.0207, while the incidence of autoimmune events (AEs) was 0.2158. The incidence rate of secondary ITP and AEs in North America was significantly higher than in Europe, being 0.0352 and 0.2622. And the analysis showed that the incidence rates of secondary ITP and AEs in prospective studies were 0.0391 and 0.1771. Retrospective studies had an incidence rate of secondary ITP at 2.16, and an incidence rate of AEs at 0.2743. Conclusion: This study found that there was a certain incidence of Immune thrombocytopenia in multiple sclerosis patients after treatment with alemtuzumab. Alemtuzumab may have some interference with platelet levels, and the mechanism may be associated with Treg cells. But due to the absence of a control group in the included literature, we cannot determine the specific impact of Alemtuzumab on platelet levels in patients with MS. Therefore, clinical physicians should perform a comprehensive assessment of the patient's benefit-to-risk ratio before initiating alemtuzumab. RESUMO

In the present research, coaxial one-side resistance spot welding was performed to join Al5052 and CFRP sheets with different welding currents. The mechanical performance of the cross-lap joint was clarified experimentally. The cross-section of the welded joint and the fracture surfaces was subjected to multi-scale characterization. The fracture behaviours and mechanisms of cross-lap joints are discussed in detail. The results showed that the thermal degradation of CFRP was detected on the cross-section under a 6000 A welding current and the O element was enriched in the decomposed area. The joining zone could be divided into four subregions according to their morphology, which were defined, from outside to inside, as the squeezed zone, the adhesion zone, the cohesion zone and the decomposed zone. After welding, the O-C=O bond disappeared on the CFRP surface while the O=C-N bond was detected on the Al5052 surface. The cross-lap joints demonstrated brittle and ductile fracture behaviours in a cross-tension test, which included two sub-modes: brittle-transition mode and ductile-degradation mode. The transformation of failure modes had a relationship with the heat input and corresponding joining zone composition. The maximum cross-tension load was about 1279 ± 40 N with a welding current of 5600 A.

RESUMO

Effectively utilizing information from multiple sources and fewer labeled operating condition samples from a sucker-rod pumping system for oil production can improve the recognition effects and engineering practicability. Nevertheless, this is a challenging energy environment scientific application research subject, and therefore, this study proposes an operating state recognition scheme that relies on multisource nonlinear kernel learning and p-Laplacian high-order manifold regularization logistic regress. Specifically, three measured features are selected and extracted, i.e., wellhead temperature signal, electrical power signal, and ground dynamometer cards, based on mechanism analysis, expert experience, and prior knowledge. Finally, we establish the operating condition recognition model to recognize by the multisource p-Laplacian regularization kernel logistic regress algorithm. The experimental data are derived from 60 wells of a common high-pressure and low-permeability thin oil reservoir block of an oil field in China. The corresponding trials highlight that our scheme outperforms traditional recognition methods by exploiting single-source and multiple-feature data. In the context of fewer labeled samples, the proposed method has a greater recognition effect, engineering practicability, and better model robustness than the existing schemes based on other high-order manifold learning, verifying our method's effectiveness.

RESUMO

Background: Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy has emerged as the established treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer. Nevertheless, there remains a debate regarding the necessity of adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with locally advanced rectal cancer who exhibit a favorable tumor response (ypT0-2N0) after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and surgery. Thus, the objective of this study is to investigate the impact of adjuvant chemotherapy on the oncological prognosis of rectal cancer patients who have a good response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Materials and methods: The study was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses protocol. Articles were searched in the Web of Science, PubMed, and Cochrane Library databases. The primary outcomes assessed were 5-year overall survival, disease-free survival, cancer-specific survival, recurrence-free survival, local recurrence, and distant metastasis. The data was summarized using a random effects model. Results: A meta-analysis was conducted using 18 retrospective studies published between 2009 and 2023. The studies included 9 from China and 5 from Korea, involving a total of 6566 patients with ypT0-2N0 rectal cancer after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. The pooled data revealed that adjuvant chemotherapy significantly improved 5-year overall survival (OR=1.75, 95% CI: 1.15-2.65, P=0.008), recurrence-free survival (OR=1.73, 95% CI: 1.20-2.48, P=0.003), and reduced distant metastasis (OR=0.68, 95% CI: 0.51-0.92, P=0.011). However, adjuvant chemotherapy did not have a significant effect on disease-free survival, cancer-specific survival, and local recurrence in ypT0-2N0 rectal cancer. Subgroup analysis indicated that adjuvant chemotherapy was beneficial in improving overall survival for ypT1-2N0 rectal cancer (OR=1.89, 95% CI: 1.13-3.19, P=0.003). Conclusion: The findings of the meta-analysis suggest that adjuvant chemotherapy may provide benefits in terms of oncological outcomes for rectal cancer patients with ypT0-2N0 after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and radical surgery. However, further prospective clinical studies are needed to confirm these findings.

RESUMO

In recent years, the application of fluorinated alcohols as solvents, cosolvents, or additives has become important in modern organic synthesis. However, their potential as efficient catalysts in organic synthesis has not been well-explored. In this article, we report on the development of a one-pot sequential cascade reaction of p-quinone methides with difluoroenoxysilanes using hexafluoroisopropanol as catalyst. This reaction allows for the preparation of fluorinated multisubstituted oxa-spiro[4,5]cyclohexadienones. By using 50 mol % 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP), the reaction proceeds smoothly to yield 1,6-conjugated products, which are then subjected to oxidative dearomatization/hemiacetalization using PhI(OAc)2. The overall process affords moderate to high yields and excellent diastereoselectivities.

RESUMO

Difluoroenoxysilane, a commonly used difluoroallylating reagent, has attracted considerable attention in recent years. However, its application in the annulation reaction for the construction of fluorinated heterocyclic compounds remains relatively limited. Presented here is the Brønsted acid-catalyzed efficient formal [4 + 2] annulation of difluoroenoxysilanes with α-cyano chalcones. The developed protocol demonstrates tolerance to various substituents under mild reaction conditions, providing a reliable approach to construct gem-difluoro-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrans in good to excellent yields with high diastereoselectivities.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Numerous studies have indicated the engagement of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in various cancer types, including colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the functional and mechanistic roles of lncRNAs in CRC remain largely elusive. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to explore the function and mechanism of lncRNA BVES-AS1 in CRC. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The expression levels of BVES-AS1 were validated in CRC tissues and paired normal samples using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) Subsequently, the biological functions of BVES-AS1 in CRC cells were investigated both in vitro and in vivo. Various experimental techniques such as western blot, fluorescence in situ hybridization, RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq), biotin-labeled miRNA pulldown assay, dual-luciferase reporter gene assay, and RNA-protein immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay were employed to elucidate the potential mechanism of BVES-AS1. RESULTS: The findings of this study demonstrated that BVES-AS1 expression was downregulated in CRC tissues compared to normal tissues, and its expression level was associated with tumor infiltration and tumor-nodule-metastasis (TNM) stage. Furthermore, BVES-AS1 was found to suppress CRC cell proliferation, migration and metastasis both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, BVES-AS1 acted as a sponge for miR-1269a and miR-1269b, thereby regulating SVEP1. Additionally, the silencing of SVEP1 activated the PI3K/AKT pathway. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that BVES-AS1 plays a crucial role in the progression of CRC through the miR-1269a/b-SVEP1-PI3K/AKT axis, providing new insights into the therapeutic strategies for CRC.

RESUMO

A highly diastereoselective [3 + 2] cycloaddition of aziridines with difluorinated silyl enol ethers has been developed. This approach provides a facile methodology for highly functionalized gem-difluorinated pyrrolidines in good to excellent yields with good functional group tolerance. A one-pot, two-step approach for synthesis of structurally interesting fluorinated pyrroles has also been developed through a cycloaddition/aromatization/desulfonation sequence. Moreover, readily available substrates, mild reaction conditions, and easy scale-up synthesis show practical advantages.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Locally advanced rectal cancer is typically treated using a combination of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and total mesorectal resection. While achieving pathological complete response following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy has been recognized as a positive prognostic factor in oncology, the necessity of adjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced rectal cancer patients with pathological complete response after surgery remains uncertain. The objective of this meta-analysis was to examine the impact of adjuvant chemotherapy on the oncological outcomes of rectal cancer patients who attain pathological complete response after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. METHODS: This meta-analysis followed the guidelines outlined in the preferred reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis (PRISMA). The Web of Science, PubMed, and Cochrane Library databases were systematically searched to identify relevant literature. RESULTS: A total of 34 retrospective studies, including 9 studies from the NCBD database, involving 31,558 patients with pathological complete response rectal cancer, were included in the meta-analysis. The included studies were published between 2008 and 2023. The pooled analysis demonstrated that adjuvant chemotherapy significantly improved overall survival (HR = 0.803, 95% CI 0.678-0.952, P = 0.011), and no heterogeneity was observed (I2 = 0%). Locally advanced rectal cancer patients with pathological complete response who underwent adjuvant chemotherapy exhibited a higher 5-year overall survival rate compared to those who did not receive adjuvant chemotherapy (OR = 1.605, 95% CI 1.183-2.177, P = 0.002). However, the analysis also revealed that postoperative ACT did not lead to improvements in disease-free survival and recurrence-free survival within the same patient population. Subgroup analysis indicated that pathological complete response patients with clinical stage T3/T4, lymph node positivity, and younger than 70 years of age may benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy in terms of overall survival. CONCLUSIONS: The findings of this meta-analysis suggest that adjuvant chemotherapy has a beneficial effect on improving overall survival among rectal cancer patients with pathological complete response. However, no such association was observed in terms of disease-free survival and recurrence-free survival.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: With the advancements in bioinformatic technology, an increasing number of circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been discovered and their crucial roles in the development and progression of various malignancies have been confirmed through multiple pathways. However, the specific mechanisms involving protein-binding circRNAs in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain largely unexplored. METHODS: Differential circRNA expression was assessed using a human circRNA microarray in five CRC tissue and paired normal samples. CircGPRC5A expression was then confirmed in the CRC tissues and paired normal samples using qRT-PCR. The biological function of circGPRC5A in CRC were studied in vitro and in vivo. Western blotting, fluorescence in situ hybridization, immunofluorescence, RNA pulldown, mass spectrometry, immunoprecipitation, quantitative phosphoproteomics, and RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation assays were used to study circGPRC5A. RESULTS: Our analysis revealed that circGPRC5A expression was higher in CRC tissues compared to normal tissues and was associated with tumor size, tumor stage and lymph node status. CircGPRC5A promoted CRC cell proliferation, migration, and metastasis in vitro and in vivo. CircGPRC5A could stabilize PPP1CA protein by inhibiting the binding between UBA1 and PPP1CA, and increasing YAP dephosphorylation. CONCLUSIONS: Our study revealed that circGPRC5A plays an essential function in CRC progression by stabilizing PPP1CA protein and enhancing YAP dephosphorylation. CircGPRC5A could act as a novel and potential target for CRC.

RESUMO

Aim: To investigate whether body composition parameters combined with systemic inflammatory markers and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can predict the pathological complete response (pCR) following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT) in locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). Methods: A retrospective analysis of data on LARC patients treated with NCTR and radical surgery between January 2013 and May 2023 was performed. Body composition parameters were assessed by measuring the skeletal muscle index (SMI), subcutaneous adipose index (SAI), and visceral adipose index (VAI) at the third lumbar vertebra level by computed tomography (CT). Inflammatory markers such as neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) were obtained from laboratory tests performed prior to NCRT. MRI was conducted to evaluate MRI tumor regression grading (mrTRG). Logistic regression analyses were employed to identify factors affecting the pCR. The risk score of pCR was computed by a nomogram. The discrimination of the nomogram was determined using C-index and calibration curve. Results: Two hundred and ninety-one patients with LARC were enrolled in the study, 55 (18.9%) of whom achieved pCR after NCRT. Multivariate analysis suggested that pre-NCRT NLR≥2.6 (OR=0.378, 95% CI 0.164-0.868, P=0.022), mrTRG 3-5 (OR=0.256, 95%CI 0.121-0.54, P<0.001), and pre-NCRT L-SMI (OR=0.292, 95% CI 0.097-0.883, P=0.029) were independent risk factors for pCR. ROC curves analysis demonstrated that the performance of mrTRG combined with pre-NCRT NLR and pre-NCRT L-SMI in predicting pCR was significantly improved compared with mrTRG alone (AUC: 0.763 vs. 0.667). Additionally, mrTRG 3-5 (OR=0.375, 95% CI 0.219-0.641, P<0.001) was also an independent predictor for poor tumor regression. Conclusion: The pathological complete response of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer can be effectively predicted by combining the body composition parameters with blood biomarkers and magnetic resonance imaging.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Dopamine and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP)-regulated phosphoprotein with an apparent Mr of 32000 (DARPP-32) is a protein that is involved in regulating dopamine and cAMP signaling pathways in the brain. However, recent studies have shown that DARPP-32 is also expressed in other tissues, including colorectal cancer (CRC), where its function is not well understood. AIM: To explore the effect of DARPP-32 on CRC progression. METHODS: The expression levels of DARPP-32 were assessed in CRC tissues using both quantitative polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry assays. The proliferative capacity of CRC cell lines was evaluated with Cell Counting Kit-8 and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine assays, while apoptosis was measured by flow cytometry. The migratory and invasive potential of CRC cell lines were determined using wound healing and transwell chamber assays. In vivo studies involved monitoring the growth rate of xenograft tumors. Finally, the underlying molecular mechanism of DARPP-32 was investigated through RNA-sequencing and western blot analyses. RESULTS: DARPP-32 was frequently upregulated in CRC and associated with abnormal clinicopathological features in CRC. Overexpression of DARPP-32 was shown to promote cancer cell proliferation, migration, and invasion and reduce apoptosis. DARPP-32 knockdown resulted in the opposite functional effects. Mechanistically, DARPP-32 may regulate the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/AKT signaling pathway in order to carry out its biological function. CONCLUSION: DARPP-32 promotes CRC progression via the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.

RESUMO

Owing to manufacturing defects of micropolarizer arrays and differences in the pixel response of detectors, division-of-focal-plane (DoFP) polarimeters have severe nonuniformity, which affects the measurement accuracy of the polarimeters and the calculation of the polarization information. This study proposes a calibration method for thermal infrared DoFP polarimeters considering polarizer reflection characteristics. The temperature-controlled adjustable infrared polarized radiation source is calibrated by a division-of-time polarimeter and is, in turn, used to calibrate a thermal infrared DoFP polarimeter. Through laboratory blackbody and external scenes, the performance of the proposed method is compared to that of state-of-the-art techniques. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method effectively avoids overcalibration and improves the accuracy of polarization information.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical value of analgesia and sedation under bispectral index (BIS) monitoring combined with hydraulic coupled intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring in severe craniocerebral injury (sTBI). METHODS: (1) A prospective self-controlled parallel control study was conducted. A total of 32 patients with sTBI after craniotomy admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the First People's Hospital of Huzhou from December 2020 to July 2021 were selected as the research objects. ICP was monitored by Codman monitoring system and hydraulically coupled monitoring system, and the difference and correlation between them were compared. (2) A prospective randomized controlled study was conducted. A total of 108 sTBI patients admitted to the ICU of the First People's Hospital of Huzhou from August 2021 to August 2022 were selected patients were divided into 3 groups according to the random number table method. All patients were given routine treatment after brain surgery. On this basis, the ICP values of the patients in group A (35 cases) were monitored by Codman monitoring system, the ICP values of the patients in group B (40 cases) were monitored by hydraulic coupling monitoring system, and the ICP values of the patients in group C (33 cases) were monitored combined with hydraulic coupling monitoring system, and the analgesia and sedation were guided by BIS. The ICP after treatment, cerebrospinal fluid drainage time, ICP monitoring time, ICU stay time, complications and Glasgow outcome score (GOS) at 6 months after surgery were compared among the 3 groups. In addition, patients in group B and group C were further grouped according to the waveforms. If P1 = P2 wave or P2 and P3 wave were low, they were classified as compensatory group. If the round wave or P2 > P1 wave was defined as decompensated group, the GOS scores of the two groups at 6 months after operation were compared. RESULTS: (1) There was no significant difference in ICP values measured by Codman monitoring system and hydraulic coupling monitoring system in the same patient (mmHg: 11.94±1.76 vs. 11.88±1.90, t = 0.150, P = 0.882; 1 mmHg≈0.133 kPa). Blan-altman analysis showed that the 95% consistency limit (95%LoA) of ICP values measured by the two methods was -4.55 to 4.68 mmHg, and all points fell within 95%LoA, indicating that the two methods had a good correlation. (2) There were no significant differences in cerebrospinal fluid drainage time, ICP monitoring time, ICU stay time, and incidence of complications such as intracranial infection, intracranial rebleeding, traumatic hydrocephalus, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, and accidental extubation among the 3 groups of sTBI patients (P > 0.05 or P > 0.017). The ICP value of group C after treatment was significantly lower than that of group A and group B (mmHg: 20.94±2.37 vs. 25.86±3.15, 26.40±3.09, all P < 0.05), the incidence of pulmonary infection (9.1% vs. 45.7%, 42.5%), seizure (3.0% vs. 31.4%, 30.0%), reoperation (3.0% vs. 31.4%, 40.0%), and poor prognosis 6 months after operation (33.3% vs. 65.7%, 65.0%) were significantly lower than those in group A and group B (all P < 0.017). According to the hydraulic coupling waveform, GOS scores of 35 patients in the compensated group were significantly higher than those of 38 patients in the decompensated group 6 months after operation (4.03±1.18 vs. 2.39±1.50, t = 5.153, P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: The hydraulic coupled intracranial pressure monitoring system has good accuracy and consistency in measuring ICP value, and it can better display ICP waveform changes than the traditional ICP monitoring method, and has better prediction value for prognosis evaluation, which can replace Codman monitoring to accurately guide clinical work. In addition, analgesia and sedation under BIS monitoring combined with hydraulic coupled ICP monitoring can effectively reduce ICP, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the prognosis, which has high clinical application value.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: To investigate the risk factors for the development of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). METHODS: The literature related to risk factors for the development of PAH in SLE patients was searched by the computer on China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI), PubMed, and Embase, and the literature search was limited to the period of library construction to October 2022. Two researchers independently performed literature screening and literature information extracting, including first author, publication time, case collection time, sample size, and study factors, and used the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) to evaluate the quality of the literature. The relationship between each clinical manifestation and laboratory index and the occurrence of PAH in SLE patients was evaluated based on the ratio (OR value) and its 95% CI. RESULTS: A total of 24 publications were included, including 23 case-control studies and 1 cohort study with NOS ≥ 6, and the overall quality of the literature was high. The risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients who developed Raynaud phenomenon than in those who did not [OR = 2.39, 95% CI (1.91, 2.99), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients who were positive for anti-RNP antibodies than in those who were negative for anti-RNP antibodies [OR = 1.77, 95% CI (1.17, 3.2.65), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with interstitial lung lesions than in those without combined interstitial lung lesions [OR = 3.28, 95% CI (2.37, 4.53), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with combined serositis than in those without serositis [OR = 2.28, 95% CI (1.83, 2.84), P < .05]. The risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with combined pericardial effusion than in those without pericardial effusion [OR = 2.97, 95% CI (2.37, 3.72), P < .05]; the risk of PAH was higher in SLE patients with combined vasculitis than in those without vasculitis [OR = 1.50, 95% CI (1.08, 2.07), P < .05]; rheumatoid factor-positive SLE patients had a higher risk of PAH than those with rheumatoid factor-negative [OR = 1.66, 95% CI (1.24, 2.24), P < .05]. CONCLUSION: Raynaud phenomenon, vasculitis, anti-RNP antibodies, serositis, interstitial lung lesions, rheumatoid factor, and pericardial effusion are risk factors for the development of PAH in patients with SLE.

RESUMO

Uncoupling of biological nitrogen fixation from ammonia assimilation is a prerequisite step for engineering ammonia excretion and improvement of plant-associative nitrogen fixation. In this study, we have identified an amino acid substitution in glutamine synthetase, which provides temperature sensitive biosynthesis of glutamine, the intracellular metabolic signal of the nitrogen status. As a consequence, negative feedback regulation of genes and enzymes subject to nitrogen regulation, including nitrogenase is thermally controlled, enabling ammonia excretion in engineered Escherichia coli and the plant-associated diazotroph Klebsiella oxytoca at 23 °C, but not at 30 °C. We demonstrate that this temperature profile can be exploited to provide diurnal oscillation of ammonia excretion when variant bacteria are used to inoculate cereal crops. We provide evidence that diurnal temperature variation improves nitrogen donation to the plant because the inoculant bacteria have the ability to recover and proliferate at higher temperatures during the daytime.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To identify the differences of clinical characteristics, laboratory findings, and the long-term outcomes in patients with anti-synthetase syndrome (ASS) of different anti-aminoacyl-transfer RNA synthetase antibodies. METHODS: We retrospectively enrolled 119 patients with ASS, and the clinical characteristics and laboratory findings were collected. Additionally, multivariate COX regression analysis was performed to estimate the risk factors of prognosis in patients with ASS. RESULTS: The frequency of interstitial lung disease (ILD) reached 93.3% in our cohort, of 28 (23.5%) was classified as rapidly progressive (RP)-ILD. The highest incidence of RP-ILD was 36.4% in the PL12 group of ASS patients. The ILD group was characterized by an older age, a lower prevalence of V sign, and a higher prevalence of pulmonary symptoms when contrasted with the non-ILD group. There were statistical differences of clinical significance in arthritis, myositis, mechanic's hands, triad, shawl sign, V sign, and Raynaud's phenomenon among the four subgroups (all p < .05). Additionally, the prevalence rates of arthritis, myositis, mechanic's hands, triad, and V sign in the anti-Jo1 antibody-positive group were significantly higher than anti-Jo1 antibody-negative patients with ASS (all p < .05). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed mechanic's hands (odds ratio [OR] = 6.47, p < .001), anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) (OR = 2.13, p = .026), ILD (OR = 10.50, p < .001), and V sign (OR = 0.30, p = .007) were independent factors affecting the prognosis of patients with ASS. The incidences of RP-ILD, arthritis, myositis, triad, mechanic's hands, and shawl sign were more frequent in the anti-Ro52 antibody-positive group than the anti-Ro52 antibody-negative patients with ASS (all p < .05). CONCLUSIONS: Patients with ASS accompanied with ILD are highly prevalent. Mechanic's hands, ANA, and ILD may be a potential biomarker for predicting a poor prognosis in patients with ASS. Additionally, the detection of the anti-Ro52 antibody provides valuable insights for managing and predicting disease progression and long-term outcomes.

RESUMO

A palladium-catalyzed asymmetric chloroenolate allylation with vinyl benzoxazinanones under mild reaction conditions has been developed, affording a series of optically active 3,3-disubstituted oxindoles exhibiting a chloro-group and a linear aryl amino side chain in good yields with up to 96% ee. Versatile functional group tolerance on the benzene ring has been demonstrated, and the utility of this method was probed by a scale-up synthesis and highlighted by product derivatizations.

RESUMO

Hafnium-based ferroelectric memories are a promising approach to enhancing integrated circuit performance, offering advantages such as miniaturization, compatibility with CMOS technology, fast read and write speeds, non-volatility, and low power consumption. However, FeRAM (Ferroelectric Random Access Memory) still faces challenges related to endurance and retention susceptibility to process variations. Hence, testing and obtaining the core parameters of ferroelectric capacitors continuously is essential to investigate these phenomena and explore the potential solution. The traditional method for measuring ferroelectric capacitors has limitations in timing generation capability, introduces parasitic capacitance, and lacks accuracy for small-area capacitors. In this study, we analyzed the working principle of ferroelectric capacitors and designed a method to detect the remnant polarization, saturation polarization, and imprint offset of ferroelectric capacitors. Further, we further proposed a circuit implementation method. The proposed test circuit conquers these limitations and enables high-precision testing of ferroelectric capacitors, contributing to developing hafnium-based ferroelectric memories. The circuit includes a flip-readout circuit, a capacitance calibration circuit, and a voltage-to-time converter and time-to-digital converter (VTC&TDC) readout circuit. According to simulation results, the capacitance calibration circuit reduces the deviation of the capacitance by 84%, and the accuracy of the readout circuit is 5.91 bits, with a readout time of 150 ns and a power consumption of 1 mW. This circuit enables low-cost acquisition of array-level small-area ferroelectric capacitance data, which can guide subsequent device optimization and circuit design.

RESUMO

Hastelloy N alloy is an excellent oxidation and corrosion-resistant material, which is selected as the shell material for the main vessel of molten salt reactors (MSRs). In this work, we conducted double-sided gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) on 4 mm thick Hastelloy N alloy plates to examine the microstructure and mechanical properties of the welded joints. The S-N curve was obtained by fatigue test. The experimental results show that fatigue cracks initiate along the weld toe and propagate inward in a fan-shaped pattern. The hardness is highest in the heat-affected zone (HAZ). The fracture mode observed was trans-granular. The plastic zone in the initial stages of crack propagation remained relatively minimal. However, it gradually expanded during subsequent stages of the process. It is noteworthy that the crack propagation process often involves the development of secondary cracks, accompanied by profound plasticity-induced closure effects. The results of our investigation demonstrate that the welded joint exhibits excellent fatigue performance.
